Wish for all these sets would have a 7/16ths bit
Great tools, a bit of a clunky case but very effective storing. Even the 16 piece kit has no 7/16" bit. Matters why? Even in the directions that come with all kits it shows making pocket holes for screws and dowels. One of the more common dowels used on medium-size-projects is 7/16ths. It sure would be nice to have that included on the smaller kits and larger as well.

So far so good
Only used this product once and found it to be of good use and a durable product. Good sale price. Well worth it.

A great set of bits
I will use the bits on my new wood projects.

Something every shop should have
For the price they are excellent bits. They cut very clean. For the price you can't beat them.

Forstner bit set
I thought for the price I would be getting a product that would be sub standard but I thought I would take a chance. I am glad i did. The box was actually well constructed and the bits are stronger than I expected them to be. The free engraving was just icing on the cake.

EXCELLENT
NICE PURCHASE

Drills are Great - Delivery was slow
So far the drills are great. I try to very careful with my drill speed but it is only a guess. My only recommendation to Woodcraft is to change from FedEx to the U.S. Postal Service. USPS would have been faster than the ecpress service.

Great deal and good quality.
I purchased this set from Woodcraft about a year ago and have been using them in my shop on a regular basis. After a year of using these I cant think of a single complaint. I am hobby woodworker and have used these bits for various task with many different types of wood and still no complaints. The price is by far the best I have seen for these. Well worth full or sale price.

I Love them.
I have wanted a set of Forstner bits in this size range for years. Finding this quality set on sale from Woodcraft was an instant buy for me.
-
Nice set
Great price, it cut well. I broke out my calipers and measured them. They were spot on.
-
Bought 2 of them
Bought 2 of these drill sets. Can't beat the on sale price. I paid [$]. Used on drilling 500 plug holes on a boat I built.

Must be China made.
Don't think it would be good for commercial use but should be fine for home use. Just doesn't look like the cutting edges will hold up very long if used a lot.

7-Piece Forstner Bit Set
Provided they are durable--I have not used them enough to know--they constitute a good buy. Time will tell.
-
I would buy this product again and again
Great value
-
nice box - then it's all downhill
I took the 3/8 drill out of the box and it simply would not cut into walnut. I sent them all back. The Forstner bits that I subsequently purchased were made in Austria. What a world of difference. Truly, you get what you pay for.

Not Particularly Sharp
I planned to use these bits to bore holes in aircraft grade spruce. Even using modest pressure and a slow feed rate, the bits heated up a surprising amount and left ragged bores in the holes. An examination of the bits showed that the bits did not have a good sharp edge - in fact, several bits had obvious burrs on their cutting edges.

Forstner 7-Piece Bit Set by Wood River
Great for working with chair legs, table legs, large panels, etc.

Great Bits
they are a better cutting bit then some of the ones i have picked up at [...].and 1/3 rd the price.the only reason i didnt give a 5 rating is i bought 2 of these sets 1 for my self and 1 for a gift with there name engraved.and well the wrong name was engraved.and to late to return because x-mas was just days away.but the bits themselves are very good as i said.far better then any Irwin forstner bit i have bought.

A great deal at a great price
The price was impossible to beat for the quality of bits that were sent to me. Extremely pleased, and will order more in the future.
