It makes a difference.
I now can say I build cabinets using melamine. The proper glue and saw blade are a necssity.

Works well
I originally bought this glue to bond a sheet of 3/4 melamine to plywood for use as a router table top. Worked exactly as expected. I also used it to butt join a piece of melamine to particle board for use as a router fence. This didn't work so well, but that might be because the particle board absorbed more glue than I expected.

Careful in use and application
The product is advertized as a specialized product for gluing Melamine however the description does not list it limitations. The fine print in the application guide lists as a FEATURE "Bonds melamine, vinyl coated products, and HPL to" POROUS MATERIALS. This is very import as it WILL NOT bond Melamine to Melamine surfaces together. A reply from Franklin Technical Service stated "it will not dry between two nonporous surfaces". Also not listed is that "the clamp time and drying time are tested at 70°F. For every 10°F you drop below 70°F, you should double those times". The information in application guide only references "Do not use when temperature, glue or materials are below 40°F". In summary, read and understand product limitations BEFORE use to save both in frustration and re-work.
