Sharpener is aweful
The pencil, leads, colors, assembly, all are great. But the sharpener, who the hell designed this? I bought this because contractors working at my house all had one (three guys). I was sold. When mine came in I can only get a round tip, not sharp as it says in the description and shows in the YouTube video. I showed the guys on the job and they all have the same issue. A partial work around that one of them showed me was to not push the lead straight into the sharpener as shown, but tip it slightly off axis. Be careful though, the leads break easily. I used the yellow on some rough cut and planed Black Walnut. This was perfect. Gary

The deluxe shop pencil!
i bought this at woodcraft and had it in my shop for a while. Used it but really didn't understand how useful and convenient it really was until I went to festool training in Indiana. The instructor was using one. He had it clipped to the inside of a tool pouch. Thru ought the day, I watched him reach down and grab his pencil without looking. Dropped it back in its quiver. You can squat with it clipped to your pocket without breaking leads. The sharpener works very very well and gives a point fine enough to work with an Incra ruler. The leads are heavy and don't break inside the pen when dropped on the floor. The last pencil I'll ever need... Now, for woodcraft to get replacement leads for convenient walk in purchase. As of now, the saw the stores can only get extra leads thru buying a display pack of pens. Fix this soon corporate!

A Must Have
I first used this at a training session in Indiana, and I had to have one - I will never go back to a standard pencil!
