Details
The critically acclaimed precision Microjig® GRR-Ripper 3D Pusher System will forever change operating a table saw. You will gain the confidence needed to comfortably make ultra-thin cuts with surgical precision and the control needed to make the exact cut that you want. No other pushblock offers this level of precision, control, and safety. The GRR-RIPPER was built for the table saw allowing you to safely cut stock down to ¼” x ¼”. However, the GRR-RIPPER's uses around the workshop are endless. The GR-100's powerful grip controls stock and protects your hands from dangerous spinning bits on the router table, provides the traction needed to properly flatten stock for face-jointing on the jointer, and applies even pressure against the fence on your bandsaw lessening blade drift and resulting in smoother cuts. Kickback occurs when the workpiece strays from the fence, and gets pinched between the saw blade and the fence. The rear teeth of the blade grab the workpiece, turning it into a dangerous projectile. The only way to avoid kickback is to maintain control of your workpiece through the entire cut. The GRR-RIPPER provides downward and inward pressure, keeping both sides of the cut parallel to the blade. This prevents the workpiece from straying from the rip fence, virtually eliminating kickback.

The Recipe Box (And How To Make It!) – Part 1: The Initial Design & Build
Christmastime is one of those perfect times of the year to make someone a special handmade gift. So I took to the shop after Thanksgiving, stepping away from my lathe and decided to do something different. With my daughter Maddy’s growing interest in baking, I decided to make her a heirloom Recipe Box as a Christmas gift. I purchased a Bubinga board about 6 ft.in length x 11″ wide x 3/4″ thick from Woodcraft. It had such beautiful figured grain and sort of a pink-brown color to it, perfect for my 16 year old. It has been a number of years (about 35!) since I’ve done any flat work, back in my Boardman High School days in Ohio, learning under the tutelage of Mr. Haug, my woodshop instructor.

Holiday Gift Ideas with Scott Phillips of The American Woodshop
Scott Phillips has gone shopping at Woodcraft, and the co-host of The American Woodshop on PBS found lots of Christmas gift ideas for the woodworkers and DIYers. A few of the products in the “Phillips Collection” are mentioned here priced between $10 to $150. So for great gifts and stocking stuffers, Woodcraft Santa has got you covered this holiday and Christmas season.

Crown Me King with this Checkerboard Build!
From
our Fall 2021 Woodcraft
Catalog, we featured a short scoop on a Checkerboard build with one of our
interns, Nikhil Narwani. Although his only woodworking experience was in the
novice category of woodturning pens, he wanted to take this opportunity to
learn more. No better time and place to add to his resume with this experience,
than with Woodcraft and its staff of
experienced woodworkers both at the Parkersburg Woodcraft store
and from our corporate
office. You can have fun being the “King” of the workshop with this enjoyable
project build and in playing the game; it’s a win-win for everyone!

Great accessory in the shop!
I bought the GR-100 at my local Woodcraft last weekend. I am currently working with an old, very inexpensive contractor saw with a substandard fence. I've found ways to work around the issues through the years, but the GR-100 has made life much easier. I have complete control over the board through the entire cutting operation, which has made my saw much more user friendly (and much safer)! I have talked about getting a GRR-Ripper for several years and now I'm sorry I waited!

This makes my job so much easier. I would definitely recommend this jig.

Safety for your hands
This is the single BEST safety item I have ever purchased. It is spectacular when sawing narrow boards. A MUST HAVE!!!

Not all that !
Have had one of these for several years now and haven't found it to be of much use, since the grip on the wood isn't always what it needs to be. For me at least it's proved to be more of a nuisance than anything else. Much overprice piece of plastic really !

NOT GOOD FOR LARGE BOARDS
I purchased this product a couple of years ago, also buying several of the accessories. I found it cumbersome and time-consuming to set up and it didn't work well with large boards. I contacted the company, and, luckily, they let me return it. It might be OK for ripping small boards, but, as a furniture maker, I found it took too much time to use and awkward when ripping long boards.

Best accessory I own
I've been using this with my table saw for over a year, and I've found it very helpful. But I decided to write a review after trying it with using it with smaller pieces I was cutting patterns with on the router table. I have complete control and a high degree of force on pieces that get my fingers too close to the bit. Now I'm completely sold. I haven't tried any of its accessories yet.

finger saver
Easily adjustable for various widths and thicknesses when used as a push block on the table saw, jointer and router table.
