Get to Work with a Tool Stool
Hot New Tools: Issue 28
After reading some heated Internet threads about the WoodRiver planes, I’ll admit that I had some misgivings about putting myself in the crossfire. Then, I thought about the guy looking to buy his first block or bench plane on a limited budget. Price is important, especially today. (I had been woodworking for 15 years before I could afford my first Bed Rock.) That said, no tool is a bargain if it doesn’t work properly. So, out of pure curiosity, I accepted the assignment to examine and test the first editions of the WoodRiver block and bench planes.

Well it works
This was the firstr CA glue i bought, and found it a bit to thin for me while it lives up to it 3 to 5 second drying time that is what made it harder for me a beginner to work with. Also Be very careful this stuff is not to be gotten on your skin OUCH!!! Burns like crazy. A rule of thumb little goes a very long way

Excellent for stopping wood checking
I used it to stop the checking in wood when I'm turning it on a lathe.

Glue
I use this product because in making small antique toys I need a product that does not run off the wood and sets quickly. This fits all of those qualities.

Poor quality
I have tried this on several projects and it seems that this type of CA glue does not bond well if at all. I am very dissatisfied with this product from Tiebond. I will not burchase this brand of CA glue again. I will go back to the other brand, it's a bit more expensive but it works.
