Details

These economical fittings will help you build a high performance dust extraction system for your shop. Made of ABS plastic (except for the aluminum blast gates), these fittings are designed to stand up against the abrasive nature of saw dust and wood fiber. The self-clearing blast gate connects in line with 4" OD ports on either side and features a unique shaped gate that eliminates chip build-up in the blast gate housing.

    Works well on a shop system

    I had put the "non-push through" types on my dust collection system and later noticed that the gates were not closing all the way as dust had clogged the slide so it would not completely close. I replaced with self cleaning ones and they have worked flawlessly for 4+ years now. I use blast gates on every connection and close and open them as I change stations in my workshop. These have worked well and are easy to install and use.

    Woodcraft is a good company

    I just have to say how great Woodcraft is. After my review about the 4" blast gates, they offered to reimburse me for the gates. You can't offer better customer service than that.

    4 " blast gate

    I bought two of these. While they work great, they did arrive in three pieces. So after some caulk and six screws in each one, they now work perfectly. I would add that when they are closed, the exposed side of the gate is some what delicate. Other than those items they are worth the money.

    DUST COLLECTION FITTING, SELF CLEARING BLAST GATE, ABS, 4-INCH OD"

    I have replaced ALL the non-self clearing blast gates in my wood shop. Much better than the older style. Well worth the time and money to do it.

    I would buy this product again and again

    looks like this will solve the problem of having to disasemmble the blast gates presently used

    Works as advertised

    Replaced a non-clearing blast gate with this self-clearing blast gate. No longer do I have to clean out the end of the gate that kept the gate from closing.
