Basic Box with Steve Julian

Description: In this class, you will build a small lidded box with a lift off lid. Steve has over 30 years of wood working experience, and specializes in boxes of all types, he will walk you through the entire process of making this wonderful box. By the end of the class, you will leave with a really nice looking box that can be left a natural color or stained. He will also cover different techniques of finishing your box to present the appearance you desire.

Advanced Box Making with Steve Julian

Part 2: Sunday, April 24, 9 AM - 5 PM

Description: This two day class is a continuation of the Basic Box Class. This coarse of instruction will introduce you to more advanced techniques that apply to this box. In this class you will gain knowledge on how to cut vertical splines in the corners of this box. You will also be constructing a lift out tray inside the box with a middle divider. The lid will be built in a raised panel configuration and will be hinged with a mortised in stopped hinge.

Basic Cabinet Making with Steve Julian
Part 2: Sunday, May 8, 9 AM - 5 PM

Description: In this two day class, you will build a small face framed cabinet which will have a door (flat panel) and a drawer above it. The top will be plywood trimmed with solid frame. This class will provide the information that you can use to construct future cabinet projects. Installation of drawer slides, hinge selection, and other construction details will be covered.

Description: Day 1 students will be gluing and clamping strips of purpleheart, maple, cherry and walnut to make a 12" X 15" cutting board. Day 2 the glue is now dry, students will remove the board from clamps, flatten, shape and sand their cutting board.
