WoodRiver® Dust Connection™ ABS Basic Blast Gate Dust Collection Fitting allows you to close one branch of your central dust collection system while you are using the other. Simple open or shut design has flat, square plate that moves inside a 3-sided frame to provide a pass-through or shut-off to connect your dust collector to your system or a branch line to one of your tools. This blast gate has the same tapered 4" OD port on either side of the gate so you can place in the middle of a branch hose. Molded using ABS material to maintain shape and withstand woodshop environment.

    Not quite adequate

    Its flimsy construction. Its welded sides break weld with a slight sidewise or downward pressure, such as the weight of a 2.5" hose hanging from the ceiling mounted tubing. Solution was to drill and pop-rivet the sides back together. Six rivets later I had working blast gates. Not unique problem as all five blast gates broke at their side welds, necessitating repairs.
